Spanish-English Translation Dictionary App Reviews

Almost useless from Spanish to English. A waste of time and money.

Great for looking for words just type it in and choose english to spanish or Spanish to English. I use it all the time on my Spanish homework when I dont know what something means. If your learning Spanish buy this app!

This app. has no bells and whistles other than providing a couple of words in translation. Several Spanish words that I would have thought would be here (for paying nearly $5 for this app) are unavailable. Im hoping for a substantial, free update soon.

Never find the words that I need

Both applications use the same content (word pairs) - core dictionary, just more or less. Spanish Dictionary (Codesign) doesnt have the index, you have to type full word and tap the "Go" button to search. The price is more expensive. It needs more work to upgrade the search ability. WordRoll ES (TranCreative) got the index list all words in one page which you can type the first letter and it will scroll up or down through words. User interface is much better, easy and save time. The price is cheaper too. I hope both applications will add more features in the future.

This is the worst thing I have downloaded. Not only is it is waste of money, if it were free it would be crap. "Codesign" ??? This is an example of how not to write code from 1982. The words you do find are not hyperlinked to their actual definitions. How hard would that be ? You get a few meanings and to best understand them, you should be able to see their definitions. Look up "lo", a very common spanish word. Of course, it is not listed. Instead, you can find "Louis Armstrong", as well as "Satchmo". Exactly, why should a spanish dictionary have this instead of actual spanish words ? You can find "loki" (a norse god), but not "mejor" or "hay" which are frequently used words. I was under the mistaken impression this would interface with the translator they publish. Wrong. It is a stand alone, meaning it cant do phrases. The wonderful apple spellcheck also should be turned off in this. Since spellcheck assumes you are writing in english, it tries to autocorrect spanish. Extra finger pushing is required to look up the word you actually wish to type. Why not turn it off ? I have not written a review for any of the applications I have either bought or downloaded for free, but this is so bad, I felt I had to warn the unsuspecting to avoid.

has very limited vocabulary. Common words like "kids", "socks" etc are not in the dictionary. A total waste of $5.

Well the it has some words that it knows but it could have more letters like it dosent have tildays or accent marks. But otherwise its ok

Waste of money dont buy

This translator can translate as well as your average sheep (1 in 10 words if your lucky) honestly your better off guesing cause odds are this thing cant translate it.

Dont but this product cause it will be waste of your money. It doesnt have the basic words. For example " how are you?" no translation for it, or " I love you" they dont have it. Just basic, I recommend you not to buy this app. Youll be better of with the online application. Just dont waste your money like did.

I had the translator that codesighn put out and it works wonderfully (it is also free) but I needed something that didnt require google or the internet so I got this. It is an absolute waste. It cant translate conjugated verbs or any kind of phrases. It only translates Unconugated non plural words. If I knew the infinitive form of the verb I was trying to translate I wouldnt be looking it up. This app is so bad its nearly fraudulent. It needs a huge upgrade to make it worth 5 dollars. I wouldnt even rate of better of it was a free app!

I downloaded this Spanish translator while visiting Spain. I dont speak Spanish and really needed the help. Unfortunately, many (most) of the words I tried to look up were not in the translator. Many menu items were not in the translator, but the void was not limited to food items. In the museum I tried to look up words on many of the placards, only to find they also were not included. The format is easy to use, but the lack of pertinent words rendered the app almost useless. Better than nothing, but certianly not a life-saver.

This app doesnt have many words. On top of that, Ive had it for almost a year and there has NEVER been an update for this app! Highly recommend NOT paying for this app.

The simplest words come up "no translation available!" Save your money.

I WANT MY MONEY BACK! It cant translate the easiest words, its not worth to pay a penny

Just type the nouns and dont include any pronouns. Excellent for iPods b/c it does not require Internet connection! :)

This product is nothing like the free product.
